About The Poster Contest
Elementary students in grades 4-6 are invited to participate in the 811 Student Safety Challenge Poster Contest by creating original artwork that illustrates the importance of contacting 811 before digging.
Prompts below can guide their creativity while keeping the message clear and aligned with CGA and PHMSA goals.

Register To Participate
- Register your class, school, or district at https://registration.nef1.org/program/1265.
- Upon registration you will receive poster templates and a Natural Gas Safety Poster.
- Give students a prompt/s and have them create a poster that carries the message: Safety is in your hands. Every dig. Every time.
- Mail the entries back in the prepaid envelope provided.
- Students who submit a poster will receive an 811 tote bag.
- Entries must be postmarked by April 1, 2026.
Awards For Winners!

- The grand prize winner will receive a technology package, which includes an iPad, keyboard, earbuds, and Apple Pencil.
- Eleven honorable mention winners will each receive a $81.10 gift card.
- The top 12 winning posters will be featured in a full-color, professionally printed 811 Safety Calendar, which each school submitting entries will receive.
- The teacher of the grand prize winner will receive an $811 educational award!
